TRE VALLI VARESINE: A BRAVE EFFORT FROM EDOARDO ZARDINI

A day at the attack for Edoardo Zardini in an edition of Tre Valli Varesine where the team Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia has been for long time in the head of the race thanks to the veronese rider.

After 40 kms in a very fast pace Zardini was able to escape together with Matteo Bono, Paolo Totò, Alessandro Tonelli and Michael Storer.

The maximum advantage was almost 9′ but it all went down due to the forcing of the peloton.

Despite the energies wasted with his attack, Edoardo Zardini was able to resist till the last lap together with Luca Raggio, Simone Velasco and Sebastian Schonberger with the last two who have lost the wheels of the peloton only on the last climb of Calcinate.

The latvian Toms Skujins was the winner with Simone Velasco our top finisher in 29th place. Tomorrow we will race Milano – Torino
