GP BEGHELLI: GOOD EFFORT FOR LUCA RAGGIO IN A BREAKAWAY
An amazing attack in the final kms of the Gp Beghelli has given the win to Bauke Mollema with the team Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia that was very active in the first half of the race.
Luca Raggio has joined a nine riders breakaway that has had a maximum gap of 5’05”
With 50 kms to go the young rider from Liguria was caught by a peloton that was always breaking apart on every climb of Zappolino.
Mollema, who attacked with 4 kms to go, was able to keep a 6″ advantage on a peloton stopped in his come back by a crash that ruined the final of race of Sebastian Schonberger.
In the sprint for the 2nd place Simone Velasco wasn’t able to achieve a better placement than 17th.
On tuesday we will be racing again in Italy the Tre Valli Varesine
